Auvers-sur-Oise: Van Gogh's Home and Banquet

Today we'll journey to Auvers-sur-Oise to visit the Auberge Ravoux, where van Gogh spent his last 70 days and produced some of his greatest works. We'll visit the painter's small bedroom, with its tiny bed and skylight, then view a poignant video on Vincent's life.

Nearby, we'll view the church that Van Gogh immortalized in one of his paintings--we saw it at the Orsay Museum! At the end of the village you will see the beautiful little cemetery where Vincent Van Gogh is buried next to his devoted brother, Theo.

Today, a fabulous banquet lunch is included. As we dine in the Auberge Ravoux where Vincent Van Gogh long ago dined, remember that the artist once said, "One day I think I will find a way to have my own show in a café."

This great artist only sold one painting in his lifetime, yet today his works are in every major museum and are greatly treasured by the world. After our time in Auvers-sur-Oise, we'll return to Paris where you will have the rest of the afternoon free for personal exploration.

Au Revoir Paris!

Today is the last day of the tour . . . it is time to catch your flight back to the states! Visions of Paris are fresh in your mind as you think about all the wonderful experiences you have had on your French adventure. Au Revoir, Paris!

"This trip was one of the high points of my travel experience.  The energy, enthusiasm, organization and endearing good humor and patience of Adrienne made the tour an easy and wonderful experience."
